Topics

The Journey of Life and Death through the Wisdom of Ayurveda, Yoga and Thanatology (The Study of Death).
The two most sacred moments of life are birth and death. In this program, we will be exploring the inter-relationship between a healthy life and a harmonious death utilizing inspiring and mythological stories, as well as the classical knowledge of Ayurveda and Yoga.

Dream Interpretation, Yoga & Lucidity
Discover how to integrate the powerful wisdom available with dream interpretation, lucid dreaming, and dream yoga so that your dreams and subconscious mind can become the inner GPS, source of healing, and unparalleled fountain of creative inspiration that they are meant to be. Learn practical applications and proven techniques for inducing, recognizing and harvesting dreams, hunches and intuition to enhance relationships, skill mastery, and deep funfillment in this waking world adventure that we call life. Be prepared to have your mind stretched, your heart opened, and your funny bone tickled. If ‘life is but a dream’ as a familiar nursery rhyme tells us, why not know it and act accordingly?

Healing the Duality Within: Insights from the Bhagavad Gita
When we talk of non-duality, it is very easy to see all the ways in one feels targeted by the world, by people, and sometimes even by God. The sacred Bhagavad Gita is a unique boat of self-knowledge that comes to the rescue of the jīva, who is drowning in the sea of misguided notions about the self, the world and God. When one focuses on healing the duality within oneself, the outer world shines as delightful manifestations of the Lord and the Goddess. Drawing upon the teachings of the Gita, this talk will focus on the ways to heal conflict, fear, and sorrow within oneself and gain inner peace.

Vedanta and Emotional Health: Developing a Holistic Lifestyle for Self-Knowledge
The Kathopanishad says that the ātman reveals itself only to the person who chooses to know it to the exclusion of all other pursuits. Here is an interesting paradox: Until one’s priorities are clear, one is unable to choose to know the ātman, and until one chooses to know the ātman, it does not reveal itself. The way out of this conundrum is to strengthen one’s viveka and vairāgya, the powers of discrimination and dispassion, and to choose a holistic lifestyle and develop a mindset that is conducive to the pursuit of self-knowledge.
