Arrival & Departure

Arrival: Check-in time is 2:00pm. We encourage you to arrive by 4:00pm for the Asana class. Dinner is at 6:00pm and there will be a Welcoming Orientation at 7:00pm followed by Satsang at 8:00pm.

Departure: Check-out time is 12:00pm. You are welcome to stay in the ashram for the rest of the afternoon even after checking out of your room.

Course Description

With compassion and sincerity, Durga will recommend Yoga techniques and philosophy tailored to your needs and guide you through self-healing practices, which may include dietary/sleep recommendations, specific Yoga postures, breathing exercises, meditation, relaxation techniques, and more.

This 5-day retreat leads participants through self-healing yogic techniques to manage chronic stress and disentangle the effects of trauma. The 5-day retreat includes asana and pranayama practice, Yoga theory, and western practical approaches to trauma including dietary suggestions, how to express needs, processing triggers, and how to access community resources.

Elisa Urtiaga-Medina (Durga)

Elisa Urtiaga-Medina (Durga) is a 500HR RYT registered Sivananda Yoga Teacher, trauma informed advocate, and social justice activist. Currently Durga is enrolled in the 800-hour Sivananda Yoga Heath Educator Training (SYHET) program.
