Arrival & Departure

Arrival: Check-in time is 2:00pm. We encourage you to arrive by 4:00pm for the Asana class. Dinner is at 6:00pm and there will be a Welcoming Orientation at 7:00pm followed by Satsang at 7:30pm.

Departure: Check-out time is 12:00pm. You are welcome to stay in the ashram for the rest of the afternoon even after checking out of your room.


What to Bring:

slip on shoes, loose comfortable clothing, writing materials, meditation shawl or blanket, yoga mat, sitting cushion, water bottle, and flashlight. All books and materials are available in our boutique.

Join us for a weekend of Classical Indian Dance with Shrelata Suresh.

“Once a dancer, always a dancer!” The learning of this beautiful art form is an ongoing and continuous process. VSDA instills in students the passion and enthusiasm for Bharatanatyam by making it both structured and fun. The teachers actively demonstrate in class, enabling the students to absorb the intricacies and subtleties of pure dance. Workshops and special classes teach students expressions and the use of gestures to portray emotions.

6:00 am – Satsang (Meditation, Chanting, Lecture, or Silent Walk)
7:00 am – Light Breakfast
8 – 9 am – Asanas and Pranayama (All-Levels Yoga Class)
10:00 am Organic Vegetarian Brunch
11am – 1pm Classical Indian Dance Workshop
1:00 pm Afternoon Snack
2 – 4 pm Classical Indian Dance Workshop
4 – 5 pm Asanas and Pranayama (All-Levels Yoga Class)
6:00 pm Organic Vegetarian Dinner
7:30 pm Satsang (Meditation, Kirtan chanting and Lecture)

Shreelata Suresh is a dancer, teacher, and choreographer of international acclaim.
