Earth Day Celebration

Green Yoga practice is based on the understanding of the core values of permaculture (care of the Earth, care of people and to share equitably).
This one-day program will be an opportunity to celebrate and honor our connection with Mother Earth through hands-on service to the land.
Schedule
6-8am Satsang: Guided silent meditation practice, chanting and lecture
8-10am Yoga Class
10am Organic Vegetarian Brunch
11am Karma Yoga (Selfless Service): Hands-on Permaculture Workshop
2pm Earth Day Presentation: How to Deepen Your Connection with Nature
4-6pm Yoga Class
6pm Organic Vegetarian Dinner
8-9:30pm Satsang: meditation, chanting and lecture
Pre-requisites
There are no prerequisites other than a sincere desire to learn and serve.
Arrival and Departure
Arrival: The program will begin at 8am. Please check in to reception when you arrive.
Departure: The program will conclude at 9:30pm when Satsang ends.
What to Bring
Durable shoes, loose comfortable clothing, durable work clothes, writing materials, meditation shawl or blanket, yoga mat, flashlight.
Books and materials are available in our boutique.
Registration
Please register 24 hours in advance to accommodate meals and workshop space. Participants are welcome and encouraged to stay at the Yoga Farm overnight. To book your accommodations, please register online for Yoga Vacation or call reception at 530-272-9322.
About the Teacher
Colin Eldridge (Krishna Das)
Krishna Das (Colin) teaches and helps coordinate Yoga, Permaculture and Outdoors programs at the Sivananda Yoga Farm. He is a trained Sivananda Yoga instructor, Permaculture Designer, and has a BA in Environmental Studies from Hampshire College.
