Receive Pancha Karma at the beautiful Yoga Farm in Grass Valley, California, an ideal place to relax, rejuvinate and detoxify. Ayurveda Panchakarma consultation, by trained Clinical Ayurvedic Specialist, Ambika Jennifer Andrews, custom PanchaKarma treatment plan that includes traditional therapies, private room and bath, delicious vegetarian meals. This unique setting also includes a Sivananda ashram schedule of daily meditation, kirtan, Sivananda yoga asana and pranayama classes and spiritual and philosophical lectures with Swami Sitaramananda and lectures on Ayurveda with Ambika (Jennifer Andrews.)  Panchakarma is Ayurveda’s elegant system of purification and rejuvenation. The Panchakarma process gets to the root cause of the imbalances and rebalances the body, mind and emotions, which when in harmony allows deep and profound healing to occur.

Course Details

Panchakarma treatments, will occur for 5 days. You will meet with the Ayurvedic Therapist daily to have tongue and pulse checked. During this time you will be on a light diet and given specific Ayurveda treatments that will work on areas unique to your diagnosis. The daily schedule will be, in the morning you will take a medicine called tikta ghrita, which will begin to loosen toxins internally, also Your treatment plan will include an Abyanga (Ayurveda oil massage), basti (introduction of medicated liquids into the colon, which is cleansing and rejuvenating), Nasya treatment (procedure introduces medicated oil into the nasal pathway cleansing channels of the head region. You will be encouraged to practice yoga asanas and meditation daily. The final treatment on the last day of Pancha Karma treatments is called Virechana. At this time you will be given a strong purgative, which will cleanse the small intestine and move toxins out through the gastrointestinal track.  Ambika will review Paschat Karma (which is post Pancha Karma period of 6 weeks), how to rebuild and strengthen the body with Ayurveda rejuvenation herbs, diet, lifestyle and Yoga practices.

Arrival and Departure

Arrival: The PK arrival will be at 12-4 pm on the first date.
Departure: The course will conclude at 3pm on the Final date.

We encourage you to arrive by 12-4pm on Day 1, making the most out of the afternoon by joining us for the Asana class and dinner. You are always welcome and encouraged to extend your stay to any length before or after the course. Please indicate your desired arrival and departure dates on your registration form.

What to Bring

Slip-on shoes, loose comfortable clothing, writing materials, meditation shawl or blanket, yoga mat, flashlight.  All books and materials are available in our boutique.
