Topic Details

Dr. David Frawley D. Litt. (Pandit Vamadeva Shastri)
Saturday, July 4th @ 1:00 – 2:30 pm
Evolution of Consciousness in Humanity
Today humanity stands at a critical stage in its civilizational development. Will we develop the inner awareness to handle our complicated and artificial information technology, or will we become dominated by the very equipment and machines we ourselves have created? We are losing our organic connection to life and our true Self.
Yoga, Ayurveda, Vedic Astrology and Vedanta provide us the wisdom and insights for a new awakening to our eternal spiritual calling. We will explain the evolution of consciousness in humanity and how we can take it forward at both individual and collective levels according to the inspiration and guidance of the ancient Rishis and Yogis who are our inner gurus.

Yogini Shambhavi Devi
Saturday, July 4th @ 5:00 – 6:30 pm
Awakening the Yoga Shakti
True Yoga is not a just a matter of information, techniques, physical or mental practices. Like art it rests upon a deeper inspiration that can never be reduced to a repeatable formula. As a spiritual path Yoga requires an inner aspiration to the Divine, a search for transcendence.
This inner power of Yoga is the Yoga Shakti, the ultimate transformative force without which Yoga is an outer affair of body and mind. Yogini Shambhavi Devi will share how to awaken that Yogic Shakti through devotion, faith, will power and intelligence, focusing on an inner energization of mantra directed to Mahadevi, the supreme Goddess and Shakti and the power of pure consciousness (Chit-Shakti).

Vedanta in Everyday Life (2 talks)
Swamini Svatmavidyananda

Vedanta is the knowledge of oneness. It reveals that everything in this universe is non-separate from a single conscious, all-knowing and all pervasive being, Īśvara. What ramifications might this teaching have for our daily lives, especially in contemporary times, marked by global pandemic and domestic unrest? How can we harness the powerful vision of the Upanishads to grow spiritually and abide in the glory of the self? These and other questions will be addressed in the two talks on this subject.

Komilla Sutton
Thursday @ 5:00 – 6:30 pm
Jupiter Saturn and Debilitation of Jupiter
This year Jupiter will be in the sign of Capricorn where it is debilitated and it will also be with Saturn for the whole year. How best to handle this situation and keep our faith during this time will be discussed.

Komilla Sutton
Sunday @ 1:00 – 2:30 pm
The Soul’s purpose and Atmakaraka
The Atmakaraka is the planet in your chart that has the highest degree. This planet is very important in Jyotish as it signifies your Soul. How to understand the lessons you have come here to learn will be discussed.

Niranjan Babu
Sunday @ 6:00 – 7:30 am
Healing Solutions of Vastu Shastra
Niranjan Babu will be educating us on the use of this fascinating Science of Indian Architecture – which is also a way of life – to confer solutions for many aspects of life – good health, better inter personal relationships, spiritual awakening, creating a virus free environment at home, ashram or office and a balanced financial life. He will give us information on relevant mantras and yantras that can provide us raksha or protection that elevates us to a higher level of spiritual evolution and a stress free life. Basics of Vastu Shastra are also explained for even a novice to comfortably understand the principles and apply them to his/her home/office.

Dr. Ramkumar
Friday @ 6:30 – 8:00 am
Staying In Balance the Ayurveda Way
In Ayurveda, balance or equilibrium (sama) is synonymous with the concept of health. Ayurveda describes how to keep the physiological, psychological and spiritual aspects of our life in balance and also how to bring them into balance when they are out of balance.

Dr. Ramkumar
Saturday @ 6:30 – 8:00 am
Building and Maintaining Strength the Ayurveda Way
Our general ability to resist disease involves a conjunction of internal and external factors. Ayurveda emphasizes both prevention against and rapid recovery from diseases. Pathogenic factors flourish around particular imbalanced factors of our body-mind system. Ayurveda lifestyle recommendations help us acquire stronger immunity over time, while also protecting our innate strength through all periods of our life. This contributes to our overall physical and mental integrity allowing us to cope with various stressors that arise in our everyday life.

Swami Sitaramananda
Thursday, July 2nd @ 7:00 – 8:30 pm
Vedic knowledge to alleviate sufferings
The nature of our human condition is suffering (dukha). There are many teachings on the nature of our afflictions and sufferings, physical, mental emotional and spiritual. Vedic sciences (yoga, vedanta, tantra, ayurveda, jyotish, vastu) are based on the same vedic principles and each in its own way, help us to detach and do the right thing to maximize our physical and mental health and thus alleviate sufferings.

Enhanced Rashi Analysis using the Puranic Histories of the Nakshatras
Bill Sinclair

The Rishis, in their wisdom, chose to convey essential information about each of the Nakshatras in the form of oral histories. Through careful study and analysis we can gain deeper understanding of the impulse behind the natal planets in a chart and the goals of the Rashis themselves. We will trace the histories though each of the 27 nakshatras and draw links to the common traits and symbols that are commonly known for each Nakshatra.

Pundit Samavedula
Friday @ 5:00 – 6:30 pm
Lalita Sahasranam
Lalita Sahasranama, also known as the Lalitha Sahasranamam, is a Hindu text from the Brahmanda Purana. The Lalita Sahasranama is the thousand names of the Hindu mother goddess Lalita.

Swami Vasishtananda
Sunday @ 6:00 – 8:00 pm
Puja Dakshinamurti
Swamiji will perform a tradition worhship ceremony dedicated to Dakshinamurti. Dakshina/donations are welcome. Please provide your full name and nakshatra/moon star, for those who want to be prayed for.
