Explore the Foundations of Yoga Life

August 14 - 21, 2026
Your sense of well-being is our priority. The intelligence of the Sivananda classical Yoga system is based on five aspects of a healthy and balanced life. Feeling good is multi-faceted and depends on your attention to proper exercise, proper breathing, proper relaxation, proper diet and positive thinking and meditation. These practices are considered the “yogic lifestyle” and are integrated in daily life at the Ashram.

Prana, Pranayama, and Yuba River

August 28 - September 4, 2026
During this week, we will visit the pristine Yuba river and do pranayama by the river and swim and relax.  Spending time by the river and practicing pranayama increases our energy and helps us to understand the relationship between prana and our state of mind.  We will have some discourses on Hatha Yoga, Yogic lifestyle and routines, and the Yoga Sutras.
