Pundit Bhima
Pundit Bhima, originally from South India, joined the Sivananda Yoga Farm in 2023. He was born and brought up in a Vedic Hindu family. His father was Sri Trinadha Lakshmi Narasimha Murty garu who was the Sri Devi Upasaka (meant to serve or one who serves).
He is a traditionally trained priest from the Veda(Yajusha Smartha) from Guru Sri V. Sri Rama murty Garu. Pundit’ji takes care of the more than 10 temples and shrines at the ashram doing daily puja, aratis, and abhishekam. Pundit’ji is always happy and smiling and welcomes all to join him on his temple tours.

Janmashtami is the birthday of Lord Krishna, the eighth avatar (incarnation) of Lord Vishnu, believed to have been born about five thousand years ago in Mathura, India. Krishna was born to Vasudev and Devaki, who were imprisoned by Devaki's evil brother Kansa and was brought up by Nand and Yashoda. The birth of Lod Krishna is believed to be symbolic of our imprisonment in worldly illusions, where He took birth with us and led us to salvation and peace, vanquishing all evils depicted by Kansa in the story.
