Hatha Yoga Sadhana Retreat

Sadhana is conscious systematic spiritual practice to elevate the mind and to see the Self. The “ha” and “tha” of Hatha Yoga refers to the balance and combination of sun and moon energy, and the functioning of the right and left brain, the active and passive facets of our personality. The benefits go well beyond just the physical body. Learn the simple and powerful techniques of the science of Hatha Yoga for balance, wellbeing, and progress in life. The key of Yoga is balance. And balance leads to higher spiritual development.

The Eight Limbs of Raja Yoga put these practices in perspective. Be introduced to the Yamas and Niyamas. Learn basic postures (asanas) and breathing exercises (pranayama) in detail and see their benefits on the different systems of the body. Add advanced variations. You will see that it is possible to concentrate and relax at the same time. This directly impacts your health and supports your glowing vitality and resilience.

Afternoon workshop topics include:
Benefits of the Practices/Wisdom of the Basic Sequence
Prana and Pranayama
Sun/Moon Balance Through Daily Activity
