Swami Adiparashaktiananda
Swami Adiparashaktiananda is a dedicated Sadhak and an experienced international Sivananda Yoga Teacher and trainer in international TTCs in USA, Vietnam , Japan and China for more than 16 years. He mainly serves as assistant to Acharya Swami Sitaramananda at the Sivananda Ashram yoga Farm in Grass Valley California. He took the first monastic vow from Sivananda lineage in 2011 and became a sannyasin in 2017. He teaches a 7-day Hatha Yoga Sadhana course and the 14-day Sivananda Sadhana Intensive course, whose emphasis is on individual sadhana. His teaching is classical and brought peace and clarity to many. He enjoys all forms of karma yoga, including gardening, cooking, cleaning, website, administration, and teaching.

Lavender Harvest Month and Kirtan (June 8 - July 14)

During this Lavender Harvest Month we will harvest lavender from our lavender fields and have workshops on kirtan music. Selfless service is volunteering done without selfish expectations. Karma Yogis serve for four hours a day and have a 50% reduction on accommodations.

Hatha Yoga Sadhana Retreat

Sadhana is conscious systematic spiritual practice to elevate the mind and to see the Self. The “ha” and “tha” of Hatha Yoga refers to the balance and combination of sun and moon energy, and the functioning of the right and left brain, the active and passive facets of our personality. The benefits go well beyond just the physical body. Learn the simple and powerful techniques of the science of Hatha Yoga for balance, wellbeing, and progress in life. The key of Yoga is balance. And balance leads to higher spiritual development.

During this week, we will visit the pristine Yuba river and do pranayama by the river and swim and relax. Spending time by the river and practicing pranayama increases our energy and helps us to understand the relationship between prana and our state of mind. We will have some discourses on Hatha Yoga, Yogic lifestyle and routines, and the Yoga Sutras.

Karma Yoga is service done without selfish expectations. We welcome karma yogis, especially for this karma yoga week. Karma Yogis work four hours a day and have a 50% reduction on accommodations. Gardening, maintenance, building and cooking skills are especially welcome. A Permaculture Action Day will also be taking place on Tuesday, October 10th as part of the Karma Yoga Week.
